Saint Lucia Citizenship by Investment Programme recently launched a campaign themed; Beyond the Passport.

For years, citizens have questioned the use of funds derived from citizenship by investment programmes. Many recommendations have been presented for a more transparent process of identifying the tangible benefits of offering a citizenship in exchange for an approved investment. 

Having seen the decimation of the much reliant tourism industry during the height of COVID-19 with closed airports and travel restrictions, successive governments throughout the region continue to highlight the importance of citizenship programmes for foreign direct investment.

It is true that the world we live in, the place we call home, is without borders. The sad realities presented by this pandemic - COVID-19 have proven how connected we are as a people.
